The National VS The Walkmen VS Interpol

The miserable three. All with new albums. Who's the winner this time?
It's tricky because I always need more time with The Walkmen.
So, till then the winner is: The National
"High Violet" is an ambitious album with no weak songs. More accessible and more melodic.

The Walkmen continue to look back. "Lisbon" is an old fashioned album. But here the band goes even deeper to their own unique sound. It's great to watch the band grow into something so special.

Interpol made a good album, but not good enough. Actually it's even worse than the previous one. How's the new bass player?
I wanna be polite but to answer the question: he's struggling to play the bass lines of the previous one, and that's not good, is it?
Pioneers of Today

To be honest, No Age with this album (and not their first) made me start thinking of making a band like this. They added a guy who helps with loops, sounds, electronics and they expended their sound. It's much more adventurous and interesting. And the most important: Punk is still in the heart of things...

Another favorite band. Deerhunter somehow became one of the most important bands on the planet. Keeping their experimental edge, they created another melodic masterpiece. It'll take some time to appreciate the album as a whole, but the melodies are already stuck in my head.
More great albums will follow soon, including 2 unexpected surprises.
Stay tuned!
